Speak out for Louisiana’s wild horses
Wild horses living in Louisiana’s Fort Polk and Kisatchie National Forest are in danger. Though the horses have lived there for decades, the Army intends to round-up and remove them. If the horses are removed, most, if not all, will likely be slaughtered.
The Animal Legal Defense Fund is committed to defending America’s wild horses. Recently, we filed a motion to intervene in a case to protect wild horses living in Devil’s Garden Plateau in California’s Modoc National Forest. And in Louisiana, we are assisting a coalition of animal advocates that filed a lawsuit to protect the Fort Polk horses. But decision makers outside of the courtroom also need to hear from you.
Use the form below to send a polite message to Louisiana lawmakers and other officials urging them to halt any removal plans. Unique comments have more impact. Please take a few minutes and add a few sentences about why you care about protecting wild horses.
