End Greyhound Racing in Florida
A few weeks ago, we asked you to take a few minutes and speak out for greyhounds in Florida. The Florida Constitutional Revision Commission is considering the Greyhound Protection Amendment, a constitutional amendment that would end the inhumane practice of greyhound racing in Florida.
Unfortunately, the amendment is in trouble. The Commission decides which proposals to the state constitution are on November ballot, and we don’t have enough votes. In order to be placed on the ballot, 22 out of the 37 commissioners must vote yes. We are four votes short.
Please take a few minutes to politely ask Commissioners to place Proposal 6012 on the ballot – and give Floridians the chance to cast a vote against greyhound racing.
Use the form below to send an email to Commissioners. Be sure to spend a few minutes personalizing the message to explain why you don’t support greyhound racing.
